Opening Doors Toronto (2011)

Opening Doors Toronto: a forum for support service providers working in Toronto, and people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, who reside in Toronto.

This year we're pleased to present the Opening Doors Toronto forum on "Overcoming Stigmas by Exploring our Strengths and Resiliencies". We're excited to announce that the forum has been increased to a 1.5 day event (participation on both days is strongly encouraged), and the date is fast approaching: March 8-9, 2011. Please see the attached file for more information and registration details.

Opening Doors is a forum designed to bring people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS together with a diverse range of HIV related services staff to support and learn from one another. THN needs your help to ensure PHA participation. Please post the attached flyer in your agency, share with staff, promote the event to support workers to share with individual PHAs and support groups. Your support with registration is much appreciated!!

Advance Registration is required to assist with preparations; registration is limited, so register soon. Please register by March 2nd. The easiest way to register is via fax (416.506.1404), but phone and email registrations will be accepted.

Opening Doors is an annual forum designed to strengthen HIV/AIDS counseling and support services by bringing together a diverse range of HIV related support workers and people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS to support and learn from one another.

Opening Doors is organized locally in several regions across the province and held once a year with funding from the AIDS Bureau, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The Toronto HIV/AIDS Network organizes Opening Doors Toronto with the advice and support of a Planning Committee.
